Our Quality Assurance

A History of Quality

For more than sixty years Sun Country Industries has provided precision components and assemblies for demanding applications in the aerospace, defense and medical industries. The common theme with all of our products is a requirement for holding very tight tolerances and “no exceptions” in delivering quality to our customers. We only manufacture products with these requirements; and each part we produce is subjected to the same rigid quality standards.

We manufacture products used throughout the jet aircraft engine (hot and cold sections), complex aircraft control assemblies, structural aircraft components and parts used in space applications and medical equipment, among others.

Our Quality Management System

Sun Country Industries operates in strict accordance with our Quality Management System (QMS) fully certified to ISO 9001-2015 and AS9100 requirements. The Sun Country Industries digital Quality Manual contains the scope of the Quality Management System including details of and justification for any exclusion. It also contains the policy statements from which the quality objectives are derived and guidance for establishing the required documentation. The established procedures, instructions, and records that make up the Quality Management System Documentation are referenced in a digital index. The relationship between requirements contained in the quality manual (and the standards referenced in the scope of the quality manual) and the documented procedures are clearly shown by the numbering system and format of the procedures, instructions, and forms.

Process interaction is described in two ways. One, flow charts depicting QMS processes contain a notation “interaction” on connecting arrows that indicate a two-way relationship exists between the processes rather than the normal one-way process flow. Two, SCI shows processes at the procedure level and how they interact in the “Plan-Do-Check-Act” (PDCA) methodology. The quality management process is a cyclical, repetitive process with four stages:

  • Plan — establish the objectives and processes necessary to deliver results in accordance with customer requirements and the quality management system documentation.
  • Do — implement the processes.
  • Check — monitor and measure processes and product against policies, objectives and requirements for the product and report the results.
  • Act — take actions to continually improve process performance.

Certifications

Sun Country Industries’ components and assemblies meet the demanding standards of global aerospace and defense industries. We work with most prime aerospace contractors and have a Quality Management System in place to meet aerospace, military and commercial requirements.

Sun Country Industries has earned the following certifications:

We are also registered with the System for Award Management (SAMs) that allows us to accept government contracts.
